Dear Valued Customer,

This morning, Governor Gretchen Whitmer Issued an executive order of a statewide lockdown to take effect across the state of Michigan effective tomorrow March 24 evening at 12:01 AM. This marks a sharp but necessary escalation in Michigan's response and effort to contain the coronavirus. It is an unprecedented order, one that we take seriously and understand its purpose.

After reviewing the details of the order, it has become clear to us that the state intends for critical supply chains to remain open. The listed supply chains includes: "workers who support the manufacture and distribution of forest products, including, but not limited to timber, paper, and wood products". With this information we have mad the decision to keep Hardwoods of Michigan (HMI) operating and open for business.

These are incredibly trying times. HMI committed to doing everything in our power to keep our employees and customers safe. We look forward to continuing to serve you despite the difficult circumstances. Thank you.
